February Challenge 2023

We’re leaving the world of imaginary past and returning to the present, although no less abstract. The theme for the month of February is Red. Whether you are celebrating the Lunar New Year, joining in the Valentione’s festivities, or your favorite sports team just happens to have red as one of its colors like me, show us a screenshot incorporating this color or the mood it conveys!

Entries will be accepted until Sunday February 20th at 11:59 PM ET. To enter, send your screenshot and your character name to Admin Katarh Mest on the ENTM Discord. The winner will get the right to choose the next month’s theme, and your winning screenshot on our front page!

Please submit one (1) original screenshot for this contest, not used in any other contest before or posted on social media. Also please include the character name for voting. No other restrictions apply beyond these and the challenge theme as described above. Do not taunt happy fun ball.

January Challenge 2023

Our theme was Goncharov – an imaginary film created by a fever dream on Tumblr – and this challenging theme only drew three entries. The audience was fairly divided (likely because nobody really knew what a fake film is supposed to look like) but the winner in a squeaker was Escher Strange, for the second month in a row.

We’ll have a new challenge up shortly, and hopefully news soon about our first cycle of 2023!

January Challenge 2023

The theme for the month of January was Goncharov – an especially challenging one consider the film doesn’t actually exist.

Still, three of us managed to scrape up the creativity to Copycat Cycle an imaginary film.

January Challenge 2023

It’s our first challenge of the new year, and the theme this month is going to be something very different. The theme is Goncharov and normally I would leave it at that and allow your imaginations to run wild, but this one is going to require a bit more explanation.

Thankfully, Wikipedia is already on it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goncharov_(meme)

In other words, your theme is the “greatest mafia film ever made” (that doesn’t actually exist.) Think of this as an extension of the Copycat Cycle, but this time with the thing you need to copy being a hoax to begin with. Have fun!

Entries on this theme will be accepted until 11:59 ET on January 22nd, 2023. To enter, send a direct message to Katarh Mest on our Discord channel.

December Challenge 2022 Winner

Apologies for the delay! I’ve been under the weather. The theme for December was Winter Solstice and we had four entries on the theme. I suspect all of the entrants voted for one another because this was very close, but the winner was Escher Strange!

We’ll have a January challenge shortly, and news about upcoming cycles as well.

November Challenge 2022 Winner

The theme for November was “A Fest” and our winner showed there’s no wrong way to interpret an open ended challenge. Congratulations to Odharnait “Ona” Greene’s neighborhood entry with a Gingerbread Feast!

ENTM will be taking a break from cycles until 2023, but we will have one more monthly challenge to round out the year.

CopyCat Cycle – Final Results

Well it’s the last post from your girl Ona.

We have had a wonderful journey thus far. We have had 6 unique rounds to build off for the future. I have learned some great things from this cycle, like how important it is to send reminders to everyone before the deadline and that time zones are a weird thing and your one judge could possibly be in the future…

But we also learned something about our models. Give them some strange concepts, such as the rounds in CopyCat and ask them to recreate them and they will go out and do just that.

While we lost two amazing models along the way, I am calling CopyCat a success!

Another really cool thing about ENTM’s cycles in general, is that they are really unpredictable when it comes to overall winners. You see, if each and every week our winner was the same, then a clear winner would be easily identified.

But that wasn’t the case this cycle.

Each week as I added the round’s numbers to the grand total sheet it would sway one direction or another. But when the final round was tallied and I looked at the point spread, there were only 1.1 points separating the top two models.

1.1 points. And that’s rounded. It was actually 1.08769841.

Regardless, the model who took our first place in this inaugural cycle has shown that they have what it takes to craft screenies with life and vigor and a level of consistency that earned them the edge on the 2nd place model.

So let’s not keep you waiting any longer….

Your winner is:

CHIBI BLU!

Welcome to the S-Rank Club my dear! (even though I still do not have the title myself) A cycle well shot!

Congratulations!!!

Please keep an eye out on the discord and here for our next round! I am not sure what is up next, but I know it will be exciting!

And as always,
Love from here.
– Ona
