Fresh Faces Cycle 1 S-Rank Winner!!

This is it! The final announcement! The overall winner of ENTM Fresh Faces Cycle 1!

First off, I want to thank every model who stuck it out the last 6 weeks and graced us with their beautiful images. You made it very hard on the judges, and every single one of you should be very proud of the images that you created!

I always say this, and it’s true… it’s very hard to put yourself out there to be judged. The fact that you did makes every one of you brave, and amazing! I am honored to have hosted this cycle with all of you, and want to welcome you to the ENTM Family of models!

Also thank you to the ENTM and FFXIV Community. We couldn’t do this without your support, and the community votes! We appreciate every single one of you!

Now doing polls like this, always shows interesting data. So we would like to share the Judges Pick and Community Pick. Overall, these two models got the best scores from either the judges or by the community over the last six weeks!

This was a very tight cycle, and there was only a 2 point difference between the top two models. It was unknown who would win until this very last week because everyone did so well, but one model did come out on top!

Fresh Faces Week 6: Makeover Finale!

Announcing ENTM Classic Cycle 12

Hey models! I know a lot of our previous contestants and winners have been sharing in the joys and tribulations of Fresh Faces 2020 (which has one final week to go), but now it’s YOUR turn to take the spotlight again!

ENTM Classic Cycle 12 will be running from April to May this year. We experimented with some different cycle formats over the last 12 months, introducing our unique anonymously judged Scenic Cycle, our fashion forward Runway Cycle, and Fresh Faces for new models only. Classic Cycle is based on the format that evolved from our days in the Official Forums and then Tumblr (although it took us a couple of cycles to get there.)

  • 8 weeks of competition
  • Non-elimination (so plan to stick around the whole 8 weeks)
  • New models and previous models (including winners) are both welcome
  • No mods, edits, or Reshade allowed (to keep the playing field even for PS4)
  • Entries evaluated by a mixture of open community votes and internal judges, who are previous winners or other community screenshot experts who join us by invitation
  • Weekly critiques to help you grow and improve as a photographer

In one week, I will open up the auditions – March 8th is when it will all begin! Until then, spread the word and build yourself up a fanbase, because we’re going to find out who will be on top as the S-Rank Model for the 12th time here at ENTM!

March Monthly Challenge

Spring is right around the corner, and March’s color is green since everything tends to turn verdant all at once at some point. So for this month’s challenge, Elessia is asking for a celebration of the season with the theme:

Green, Gold, and Rainbows

So go forth and wear your spring best to welcome the end of winter and the beginning of the warmer seasons. Or find us a perfect landscape that encapsulates this theme in a unique way. You have until Friday, March 20th to submit a shot for this contest! Voting will end on March 27th. The winner gets a minion from the mog station, and will also get to choose the next month’s theme.

ENTM Monthly Challenges are open to members of the wider screenshot community, even if you’ve never participated in any ENTM contest before. However, you must have a Discord account and join the ENTM Discord, or otherwise be able to send your image in a direct message to Admin Katarh Mest. The usage of image mods, post processing edits, and Reshade are not allowed for ENTM contests, but you can use whatever in-game tools you want. Shots may contain player characters, non player characters, or focus entirely on the landscape if you choose to omit people. Landscape or portrait orientation accepted. Please have the FFXIV copyright notice someplace on your shot.

February Monthly Challenge Winner

For February, Kai asked our models to go out and give us their very best Warrior of Darkness. With ten models rising to the challenge and almost 40 community votes, the winner by a big margin was Elessia! Your warrior red mage showed off that casting top to demonic perfection.

Fresh Faces Week 5 Winner

Hi everyone, Judge Katarh here! Normally I would have turned in my critiques, sat back and watched the votes roll in and be done…. but Host Kai got an unexpected gift to PAX East so she’s leavin’ on a jet plane right about now. Have fun and hand out those ENTM business cards!

Last week, Kai asked the models to go out and do the classic ENTM round of cosplay. Our models gave us a treat, including some never-before-seen in ENTM characters. But the judges and community agreed that one costume stood out just a little bit more, and that costume belonged to Forthyn S’yel for his amazing depiction of Geralt from The Witcher.

As Kai likes to say:

There is ONE MORE WEEK left in our first cycle of 2020. Due to PAX East, we will be delaying the votes for this for a few extra days, so stay tuned next week for our final round theme!

Also, if you considered being a model yourself (or have been one in the past) I’ll be posting an announcement for auditions for our next cycle SOON!

Fresh Faces Week 5: Cosplay!

It is Week 5 and we only have 1 week til the end of our cycle!

This weeks theme was Cosplay and our models were asked to do the following:

A classic for our cycles, it’s ENTM EXPO!! Use existing gear in the game to create a cosplay look that will remind us of a superhero, villain, tv character, comic book character, or even a gaming character. The sky’s the limit, and there are so many to choose from! Note, the full gear sets like Cloud, Squall, and Yuna’s outfit (etc) are off-limits with this challenge. If you have a question on what can be used, let me know. With this week’s image, you must also send a photo of the character you are trying to be!

The poll has the 6 models listed, please rate from your favorite (1) to least favorite (6)! Polls will be open until Tuesday night at Midnight (EST)!

Fresh Faces Week 4 Winner!!

Hello everyone! It is I, Host Kai!

Week Four, and we only have… two weeks left! Soon, we will be crowning our first ENTM Fresh Faces S-Rank Champion! But with so many people stepping up their game, who will it be?!

This week we asked our models to think outside the box and come up with a new job they would want to see in FFXIV. They certainly didn’t disappoint, but the Community and Judges have spoken!
