Classic Cycle 13 Round 4 – Protector of the Realm

For the fourth challenge of the cycle, we have our battle shots! Our models were asked to go out and take a picture of them engaged with an enemy, showing off how they prefer to save the world. There were no other restrictions other than to try to take the coolest screenshot possible.

Please click on each image below to view it in a larger size, and then use your browser’s back button to return to the post. Then vote for the shots in ranked other at the bottom of the screen. Remember that we use golf scores, and thus the shot you think is the strongest should be ranked at #1, the second strongest at 2, etc.

Classic Cycle 13 Round 3 Winner

April Fool’s is over (and I admit, I got sucked into /r/place over the weekend) but the pranks our models pulled with their minions are going to haunt their victims forever. This week, the model with the best Shenanigan goes to Chibi Blu, for telling her friend that it was a treasure chest when it was really a mimic.

The judges really loved the expression on your character’s face, as well as your victim’s reaction, capturing the perfect moment in time for an April Fool’s prank.

Congratulations!

Chibi Blu

Classic Cycle 13 Round Three – Shenanigans

April 1st is known as “April Fool’s Day” and it’s a day for pranks, lies and other general japery. For this round, I asked our models to take their favorite minion and go out and have some fun – even if it was at the expense of other people! This was a technically challenging round and our models did a fantastic job incorporating their minions into their shots.

We had eight entries this week. Please click on each image to view it in full size, then use your browser’s back button to return to this blog post. Vote for the shots using the Google poll below – remember that your #1 will be the strongest, and then rank down to the weakest at #8.

Classic Cycle 13 Round 2 Winner

Wowee, this was one of the more hotly contested ENTM rounds that I can remember in recent memory. Judges disagreed with each other, and the community disagreed with them – but that’s why we have a mixture of judges and opinions and we use MATH to get down to a somewhat objective answer.

All that to say, after everything was tallied up, the winner this week for the strongest Spring Fling glam was Yurimi Sky! Congratulations!

Yurimi Sky

This upcoming week will be one of our infamous technically challenging rounds, so please look forward to it!

Classic Cycle 13 Round Two: Spring Fling

It’s spring in North America, and for the challenge this week I asked our models to give us a dose of some SPRING FLING fashion. This shot is a “runway style” shot switched to vertical, with the outfit being the star and our model giving us a full look at it.

The weather is getting warmer and spring has sprung!  Give us your prettiest spring themed glam.

All eight models submitted an entry for this week! Please click on each image below to load it in full size, and then use the browser’s back button to return to this post. And then vote for the strongest in the poll below. Remember, ENTM uses golf scores, so the shot you think is the strongest should be your #1, and then on down for the week.

Classic Cycle 13 Round 1 Winner

Our judges adored everyone’s depictions of free time, but after all the voting had settled, our judges and the community agreed that the strongest shot this week came from Ninifipsi!

The small details, the soft lighting, and the glamour all melded together to give us a quick glimpse into Ninifipsi’s flower filled home life.

Our second round will be coming out later on this week! Stay tuned!

Classic Cycle 13 Round 1: Free Time

Welcome everyone to the first week of voting for Classic Cycle 13! We’re kicking things off in a leisurely fashion with a theme called Free Time. This is a staple of the early ENTM rounds back when we were on the forums.

The models were given this clue:

“How do you spend your free time when you’re not being a model?  Do you do dangerous raids, do you garden, do you fish?  Show us your hobby!”

Please view each of the images below by clicking on the middle to view it full size. Use your browser’s back button to return to this post.

And then vote for each of the images from strongest at the top with #1 down to the weakest at the bottom with #8 using the Google poll found on the bottom of this post. (Remember, ENTM uses ‘golf scores’ so the lowest score wins each round.) Voting will be open to the community until Tuesday, March 22nd at 11:59 PM ET.

If you are having difficulty voting on the Google poll using the embedded form, you can click here to open the form in a separate tab:

Renovation Cycle Round 6: Magical Mayhem

Ready to go on the Magical Mystery Tour of the rooms our designers built? For the very last round of Renovation Cycle 1 our amazing judge, Daiyu Elani (AKA Daiyu-rama), wanted to start the round with a theme fitting for the spooky nights ahead: MAGIC! Many of Daiyu’s builds are magical, with her open windows and cute dioramas, it did seem fitting she would choose such a fun theme. So, to kick off the Halloween weekend, here are the magical builds this week from our designers ranging from Wicked to magical Fairy Tales! Please view the entries below and vote for you favorite at the end of the post!

And introducing our guest judge this week, the unforgettable Malkovich!

You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become a two-time S-Rank model and ENTM Renovation Cycle guest judge. He’s whatever ENTM needs him to be. You’ll condemn him, set the dogs on him… because it’s what needs to happen. Because sometimes the medium plot isn’t good enough. Sometimes people deserve the mansion. Sometimes people deserve to have their hours spent making a stuffed tonberry float in mid-air rewarded. He’s the hero ENTM deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So, you’ll show him screenshots, because he can take it. Because he’s not our hero. He’s a silent guardian. A watchful protector. A Malkovich Malkovich.

Renovation Cycle Round 5: “I Need a Drink”

Sometimes SE surprises us and puts really interesting items for sale from the housing merchant: the disordered wardrobe, the really cool slanted walls and even some not-so-ugly wall coverings. This week, our designers were challenged with creating a bar scene using ONLY the items acquired from the housing merchants, including the NPC’s that sell…NPC’s. AND they had to take the photo using a Sepia filter from Gpose to give an old-time effect. They were also encouraged to use extras and NPC’s to complete the immersion. This challenge proved difficult because of the limited items they could use and the limited NUMBER of items they could use! How does a designer stand out from the rest? So scroll down and see how these amazing designers accomplished the task. And be sure to vote for your favorites this week!

*Two models are missing this week, Scarleta and Desya. Scarleta will be back for the final round. Unfortunatel,y due to real life circumstances, Desya will be withdrawing. But she will be here cheering her fellow designers on!

Our guest judge this week, the wonderful, MARVELOUS Ni’ko Shae!

Host of ENTM’s Runway Cycle, winner of ENTM Classic Cycle 11, and frequent judge, Ni’ko Shae is a longtime housing enthusiast. One of Ni’ko’s biggest housing accomplishments was finally defeating the final boss: getting a couch to float over the stairwell leading to a medium house’s basement (okay, he got help doing it, but he tried for a long time!). For housing Ni’ko favours far eastern designs, plants and trees, and a healthy blend of pinks and purples (with a dash of rainbow). As a judge Ni’ko tends to favour those who think outside of the box and delivers the unexpected (though a bit of pink and purple couldn’t hurt any, now could it?). Now then, may the best decorator … win!

Renovation Cycle Round 4: Room Structure

In the FFXIV housing design world, one designer stands out as an expert on structure and room design: Synt. His builds are meticulous in execution, flawless in form and gorgeous in design. He often creates concept builds focusing on the structure of the room such as a marvelous kitchen he created earlier this year. He challenged our designers this round to think of structure in terms of design and really think outside their normal sphere of building in FFXIV. These designers ran with the task this week and made these beautiful rooms seen below. And keep in mind, they only had 100 slots to work with! One designer, Desya, is missing but hopefully will be back next week! Once you are finished being wowed by these great builds, use the google form below to vote for your favorites!

And our beautiful guest judge this week, Destiny Seeker!

Hi everyone! My name is Destiny and I like ponies, PvP, and housing! I absolutely love housing in FF14 and have been designing since late Heavensward. I primarily am a commission designer, meaning I must adhere a lot to client requests. One of the most common is using all the floors! This is why I must challenge myself to try to create unique layouts to maximize the space. This can make even a small house feel so much bigger. I can’t wait to see what you all create. Best of luck!
